Description

• Heart-leaf philodendron (Philodendron hederaceum), commonly known as the sweetheart plant, is an evergreen foliage plant native to tropical regions of South and Central America and the West Indies.

• Heart leaf philodendron prefers bright, indirect light. It doesn’t like direct sunlight, which will scorch its leaves. A spot in a window that faces east, west, or south is ideal for it. Heart leaf can do okay in lower light levels, but it won’t look its best and tends to become a little gangly.

• The Heartleaf Philodendron, Lemon Lime Philodendron, and Philodendron Brasil are relatively easy to come by – most garden centres, greenhouses, and plant shops will have them available – but the other varieties are still quite rare
